Major Yacht Services are looking for a young, enthusiastic person to work in our Sydney office.. A Yachting background is an advanatage but not essential. Work will include maintaining MYOB, receiving and dispatching orders, general office duties.

Computer skills and basic accounting skills are required.

38 hour week. Mon - Fri.

Enthusiastic and great team player, able to co-ordinate exterior of  boat and deck hand.

Prepared to work all weekends

Predominantly Sydney Harbour based but possibility of travel.

Shore based position, staying overnight with guests onboard.

STCW95

Non smoker preferred.

 Min. 3 yrs experience in yachting industry

Min. 2 yrs experience in head chef role, or similar in restaurant/catering hospitality environment

Capable of cooking for 10 crew and possibly 12 guests at any one time.

Happy to cook standard family recipies to owners requirements.

Experience in Kosher food preparation a bonus.

Planning and co-ordination of food for large volume functions.

Menu planning, provisioning, budgeting, stock control, cleaning, and galley maintenance.

Prepared to work all weekends

We are seeking a Chief Engineer for an Australian-based 43m sailing yacht a 2004, Vitters-built Dubois sloop, as the current Engineer is still onboard and we have a two months lead time to find the right candidate.
As this vessel is registered commercially in Australia, we require
candidates to have either Australian MED 1 Certificate with STCW95 endorsement or an MCA. Y3 certification with an AMSA endorsement as their minimum qualification.
The process for AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority) endorsement is straight forward and will be paid for by the company.
Candidates must be non-smokers, and will preferably have the right to work in Australia. However, visa sponsorship would be considered for the right candidate.
The vessel is privately owned and is offered for limited charter for approximately 4 weeks per year, based out of Sydney. She will primarily sail the waters of the Australian east coast and the near Pacific. Cruises to the Whitsundays/Great Barrier Reef, Fiji and to New Zealand, are planned for 2008.
Total package offered will be in the vicinity of AUD $130,000 - this includes compulsory superannuation contributions (in accordance with Australian law) and an allowance for shore-based accommodation.
Candidates must be available to commence work on or before 1st September 2008.
This is a unique opportunity to be based in Sydney and still be working in the Super Yacht industry

Second Mate. 55m M/y                                                                  Sep 2008

The boat is currently in Australia until Sept 08.

It is slowly cruising the pacific.

 Position commences at the end of July.

 There are 12 crew with 4 crew in the deck department.

 Candidates must have MCA OOW or Australian class 3.

 The vessel is UK . commercially registered.

 Salary is 3,200 – 3,500 Euro depending on qualifications and experience.

Second Stewardess. 36m private M/y.                                          Sep 2008

The vessel is based in Sydney.

Live ashore when Owners & Guests are not onboard.

Candidates must be prepared to work most weekends.

Some expierenced preferred.

Formal qualifications not required.

5 other permanent crew.

Salary $45,000 PA plus super.

82' sunseeker requires a Dynamic person willing to work in all areas of teh boat. primarily the role wil be as Stewardess, however deckhand work wil be required at times.

Vessel spends approx. 6 months in Sydney and 6 moths in QLD.

Full time permanent position.

Salary is approx. $45k PA.
