Major Yacht Services work closely with The Superyacht Crew Academy, placing qualifed people in various positions on Super Yachts traveling around the world.

The Superyacht Crew Academy, based on Sydney’s northern beaches in Newport, just 45 mins north of Sydney CBD, was established in 1996 as the first Australian full partner and representative of International Yacht Training Worldwide (IYT). They are the largest Superyacht Training facility in Australia and provide a complete range of courses for superyacht crew including;

• STCW95
• Interior Crew for Steward/ess
• Superyacht Chef/Cook
• Deck Crew
• Mate 200gt
• Master of Yachts 200gt limited (offshore) and Unlimited (ocean)
   

The certifications are most importantly recognised by the Maritime Coastguard Agency of the United Kingdom (MCA).
All training is done by the Academy's own internationally approved professional instructors. The Superyacht Crew Academy is an Australian Nationally Recognised Training Organisation (RTO), a NSW Maritime training provider, and a NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board training provider. This means the Academy is accredited to teach and issue training certificates for both International and NSW crew positions. Their training programme for Master of Yachts 200gt also qualifies graduates for a Master Class 5 certification.
