Major Yacht Service’s staff have
experience as crew on white boats – whether it be as a stewardess, engineer,
bosun or deckhand. We understand what is expected of you and what you can
expect out of a job in the industry.

FREE
REGISTRATION!! We do not
charge candidates any registration or application fees. It is simply
a matter of filling out a MYS Registraiton Form and attaching a clear and
concise resume with a recent photo. You can also download your Sample CV above for an idea of
what your resume should look like.

Most boats are quite specific with what tickets
and qualifications they require for the positions they are advertising. It’s a
great advantage to either email or fax through copies of all your relevant
tickets, certificates and reference letters. If you do not have reference
letters from your previous employers, why don’t you download one of our Sample Reference Letter Formats above and
have your employer fill it in for you. Be sure to list all relevant
qualifications clearly in your CV.

If you need us to write or change your resume for
you, there is a fee of AUS$60.00 which includes a soft copy and two hard copies
being sent to you. If you are located in
Sydney
it also includes your photo being taken and added to your resume.
After receiving your CV we do a reference
check and receive feedback from your previous employers. When the captain of a
yacht contacts us with a vacancy, we look through our database of candidates,
selecting crew with the correct qualifications and the ones we believe would be
best suited to the yacht. We then contact the selected candidates and discuss
the requirements needed. If they are interested and available we then forward
their CV on to the captain and he contacts the candidates directly.
